Will the FocusZen app be paid? Why?

Hi! It’s Ange, the creator of the FocusZen app.

I want to address a question I often receive in messages and comments:

“Will FocusZen be paid?” and “Why don’t you make it free?”

I completely understand these concerns, and I want to be honest with you about why I decided on a paid model for the app.

I’m not a big corporation. I’m one of you.

There are no giant tech companies, investors, or massive budgets behind me.

I’m just an ordinary woman, a mom, who—like many of you—juggles daily responsibilities, raises children, runs a household, and at the same time follows her passion to help others.

It all started because my own child has ADHD and autism spectrum disorder. I know firsthand how challenging life with neurodiversity can be—for both children and their parents.

Over time, I realized that what I was creating could help not just my family but thousands of others:

✅ Parents who try to organize their child’s day and their own busy lives.

✅ Students who need to remember classes, exams, and projects.

✅ Office workers, freelancers, and remote workers looking for effective productivity tools.

✅ People with ADHD and autism who need a simple, clear tool to manage their time and energy.

That’s why I started designing FocusZen, and later FocusZen Kids—to help children and teenagers learn time management in an intuitive and engaging way.

Creating an app is a HUGE process and a massive cost

I would love for the app to be completely free, but the reality is different. Developing it requires months of work from programmers, designers, and testers, as well as ongoing improvements, bug fixes, and server maintenance.

Every part of this costs money:

💰 Programming and development – The developers who ensure FocusZen runs smoothly and is refined to the smallest detail.

💰 Servers and infrastructure – Keeping the app online and ensuring user data is safe.

💰 Marketing and advertising – The app won’t spread on its own, and in today’s world, you have to pay to make people aware that FocusZen even exists.

💰 Support and future updates – Helping users, adding new features, fixing issues, and keeping the app up to date.

Anyone who runs a business knows that maintaining and improving a project requires constant investment. Even if the app generates income, most of it goes right back into covering costs and making it better.

FocusZen is our work, but also our mission

We don’t see FocusZen as just a way to make money. This is our job and our passion, but above all, we want this app to truly help people.

That’s why the pricing will be fair and accessible.

There will be a free version, and we aim to keep the app stable, reliable, and constantly improving while also covering the costs of maintaining it for users worldwide.

With your support:
